I recently finished the next installment in my personal AI-assisted Plato songbook project:
The Ring and the City — Songs from Plato’s Republic, Book II
It’s a folk / café-jazz songbook based on Book II of Plato’s Republic, following Glaucon and Adeimantus as they sharpen the question of justice: is justice worth loving for its own sake, even apart from reputation, reward, or comfort?
The songs move through the Ring of Gyges, the challenge of the perfectly unjust man, and the first sketch of the city in speech.
This is a personal creative experiment rather than an official DCMission project. It is not meant as a substitute for reading Plato, but as a kind of musical memory-palace or set of chapter markers for anyone interested in the text.
