Boethius in Song and Image: Lady Philosophy Enters

For my latest personal creative project, I’ve adapted a scene from Boethius into song and images:

Boethius in Song — Lady Philosophy Enters

It is an illustrated song based on the opening of Boethius’ The Consolation of Philosophy.

This is a personal creative experiment rather than an official DCMission project. It is not meant as a substitute for reading Boethius, but as a kind of musical and visual memory-palace for anyone interested in the text.

Songs from Plato's Republic, Book II

I recently finished the next installment in my personal AI-assisted Plato songbook project:

The Ring and the City — Songs from Plato’s Republic, Book II

It’s a folk / café-jazz songbook based on Book II of Plato’s Republic, following Glaucon and Adeimantus as they sharpen the question of justice: is justice worth loving for its own sake, even apart from reputation, reward, or comfort?

The songs move through the Ring of Gyges, the challenge of the perfectly unjust man, and the first sketch of the city in speech.

This is a personal creative experiment rather than an official DCMission project. It is not meant as a substitute for reading Plato, but as a kind of musical memory-palace or set of chapter markers for anyone interested in the text.

Songs from Plato’s Republic, Book I

Patrick here — I recently finished another personal AI-assisted music project that may be of interest to DCMission readers:

Down to the Harbor — Songs from Plato’s Republic, Book I

It’s a folk-jazz songbook based on Book I of Plato’s Republic, following the dialogue from Socrates going down to the Piraeus through the unresolved question of justice.

This is a personal creative experiment rather than an official DCMission project. It is not meant as a substitute for reading Plato, but as a kind of musical memory-palace or set of chapter markers for anyone interested in the text.

It’s a G-Funk / soul-rap EP inspired by Catholic theologians, mystics, and philosophers.

This is a personal creative experiment rather than an official DCMission project, but I thought I’d share it here for anyone interested.
